Therapy for Women.

Are you in a constant cycle of stress?  Do you feel like you worry constantly?  You remember when you were fearless in life, and now you find yourself walking through every step of every situation to make sure things go right?   Do you ever fantasize that finding your moment of Zen is as easy as opening a piece of chocolate and being magically transported to a tropical island?  Life can be very hectic, and the demands are ever increasing.  It’s no wonder that women find that they are more stressed and anxious than before.  Let’s work together to help you break the stress cycle.  Let’s work on finding your moments of Zen through mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavior Theory, and Solution Focused Therapy Techniques.  My approach is to work together on your goals through a collaborative and strength based approach.  A strong therapeutic relationship is a good foundation for a therapeutic space where you can explore your feelings and thoughts in a safe, nurturing environment.

Therapy for your child.

Have you noticed a change in your child lately?  Do you see your children acting out more than usual? Is your child more anxious and withdrawn? Have you noticed that your child is not as happy as they once were?  Children do not come with instructions, and noticing a change in your child can be overwhelming and give you concern. As a parent, you want your child to live their best life but you may feel at a loss of how to help them achieve that goal. My aim is to help children manage their anxiety, depression, or stress. I strive to help them learn more about themselves, and to help families learn more ways to connect with their child.

My approach to counseling and helping clients is to look for your strengths.  Let’s find and highlight aspects in your child’s life that are working well and build on those.  A strong therapeutic relationship is a good foundation for a therapeutic space where your child can explore their feelings and thoughts in a nurturing environment.   I will collaborate with you to find the best interventions that best fit your needs and goals.  I utilize several researched based theories such as Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Play Therapy techniques for children.
